This is a fresh introduction to Devandra and for opposite similar-sounding and as important artists I urge Iron & Wine and Sufjan Stevens besides. That's not to say "Rejoicing" is insecure, it's definately a real beneficial album, but the new I is big. Oh, what a dissapointment I was sure. While there are a couple of tracks on "Rejoicing..." which I would label better than some of the best off of the new ace, the age of the tracks reason out more interesting than "rejoicing's". The songs have some stronger melodies and the guitar playing is overmuch more lively and engaging here. At a recent gig in Hollywood fresh actresses Kate Hudson and Shannon Sossamon yet showed up. Check out Vetiver, keen album.
